Site says that a certain email address is invalid.

    (Spoiler alert: it isn’t.)

Ten years ago this was annoying already, nowadays I really don’t get why one still has bad email address validation.

@mahryekuh I've had an even worse situation where a large company had merged their authentication system with another company and had inconsistent validation rules (which may happen without a merger too, but the merger also had consequences on the languages used in the UX), which resulted in me being able to change my email and to log in, but then purchases would fail if there happened to be a "+" in the email address.

@mahryekuh On my days off, I’ve taken to calling those businesses with invalid validation and offering to fix their site. Haven’t gotten any work, but I’ve seen some sites fixed.
