One of the funniest biases you get growing up American is that anytime you see someone's height given in cm it makes them seem really short even if they're reasonably tall

@mcc I have a dataset I use in my classes of Australian athletes, with heights in cm and weights in kg. Canadians seem to use lbs for weights of humans, so one of the things I talk about is how to create a new column with weights in lbs.

Extra fun fact: I grew up in the UK, where people measure weights in "stone", 1 stone being 14 lbs. (I have another dataset of weights of rowers in the Oxford-Cambridge boat race, where the weights are given like 16st 2lb).

Extra extra fun fact: even given that my Australian athletes are measured in kg, none of them seem very heavy, because the thing that Australians call football is played on a giant field and players have to be mobile enough to run long distances.
