    the fundraiser’s cleared £120k and rising. no amount of money could possibly compensate people of colour in this country for the fear and suffering they are having to endure, but that money represents thousands of people trying to show solidarity in the face of pointless and ignorant hate, and it isn’t nothing, and I know it will be used for good. thank you to anyone who donated. what hope I have left in humanity hangs on by threads like these.

    @dlakelan Yeah. I’m so angry I don’t have the words. Trying to focus on groups like the Anaka Women’s Collective who were brave enough to go out there last night and help the threatened.

    @astronomerritt That fundraiser charges quite a high fee for donations too. And the donor cannot choose how much they want to give. Donors must choose from the options they provide.So £25 or £50 or more, plus at least £5 administration fee on top. A £50 donation is closer to £60, which is regrettable.

    @HarriettMB Neither of those things are true? You can input your own donation amount (I did) and choose not to tip the website or change how much you tip (which I also did).
