NEVER buy a LOGITECH SPOTLIGHT.
When its battery drains to 0% it just won't charge any more. Period.
It's possible to re-kickstart it (https://matthiasott.com/notes/fixing-the-logitech-spotlight) but I don't feel comfortable at all doing this, and I don't have the equipment anyway.
So I have to buy a new pointer.

@ppk iPhones work surprisingly well as a clicker (Keynote for iOS lets you have notes and previous/next slides in your hand, found that especially useful when there was no monitor on stage)
@hdv Tried just now, doesn't work on pub wifi. Will try again at home. Would be an excellent replacement.

@ppk Logitech has apparently gone to hell on all fronts. I can' t use the extra buttons on my logitech mouse without also installing their drivers which are bundled with an AI agent. Screw them buttons.
@ppk same with the Apple Pencil for iPad. Once too far discharged, impossible to revive. Also some DJI drone batteries.
I prefer simple laser pointers that don't require software installation, but they don't work over Zoom calls. The Spotlight actually has simplified drivers that don't require administrator rights to install, to its credit.
