Switching from #ObsidianMD to #Joplin, because
a) I wasn't even aware Obsidian wasn't open source (what even is the point of being proprietary in an app like this?) and
b) people say pretty good things about Joplin.
Fortunately switching was pretty trivial because of the whole "ball of #Markdown files" thing and the fact that I hadn't used that much of weird Obsidian-specific markup (just a couple of image attachments).
I was relieved to note that Joplin does support cloud sync via OneDrive, so I don't need to pay for yet another weird proprietary sync solution if I don't need "team" features. Which would have been silly, because I just looked at one competing web-based #notetaking app and the prices were just outrageous (like $120/year. WTF. capitalised for emphasis).

I've been using the #SerifAffinity suite of apps for a while now. It's been great so far, and they do have some neat features and make some things I frequently do really easy.
However, sometimes when I use the apps, I run into some really weird missing features.

...literally every vector art app since dawn of the millennium that I've used has supported bitmap tracing. Okay, maybe I've just been lulled by #Inkscape into thinking that this is a basic feature.
I haven't used #AffinityPublisher that much yet. I hope it doesn't go "Aww, but who *actually* needs to export to PDFs these days?" (...I know it supports it 😈)
