    Into whose hands was Sen. McConnell discharged? His wife's, the undertaker's, or Victor Frankenstein's?

    The credulous headlines from NBC and its like only help keep McConnell's status hidden. Nor is it helpful to have mental incompetents like Tommy Tuberville act as a cutout of a supposed conversation McConnell had with an aide.

    As you say, if McConnell could still walk, talk, think, or act on his own without an aide's arm up his backside, he would.

    @dcdeejay I mean, JFK had Addison's Disease and this was intentionally concealed from the public.
    FDR was paralyzed from the waist down, and this also was concealed from the public.
    Also, frankly, I think people's votes should be influenced much more by the lies used to justify the 2003 Iraq war and the 2026 Iran war than by a senator's staff lying about his health because they'll lose their cushy DC jobs when the jig is up.
    I think what's going on with McConnell is just a petty sideshow.

    @jik While it's not the worst thing politicians have done or can be credibly be accused of, I can't agree that failure to disclose a health condition is the equivalent of refusing to have an elected official show up for work, demonstrate they are capable of continuing or resuming their duties at some point, or even provide an explanation of the circumstances and timeline - solely to keep them in office unchallenged.

    How many U. S. workers can be off work for WEEKS at a time & still get paid their $14,000 a month, all while having someone wipe his ass that gets paid minimum wage? Only in American politics...
