@noiseician freebsd is the most linux-like, but it's started merging slopped packages and we're still waiting for a stance on slopped everything else (signs are not good though).

Oct 15, 2026, 1:47 AM@dysfun@treehouse.systems kinda. theo was one of the four people who founded netbsd, coming up with the name 'netbsd.' afaik one day he fixed some bugs in the sparc code, the netbsd person who considered sparc 'theirs' deleted his account. theo's computer got hacked and some emails abiut this got deleted, which caused him to get interested in OS security, and go on to start openbsd.
