📚 100 years ago today, Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends opened up a book to their enchanted Hundred Acre Wood. 🍯 🧸🐝🐰🐷

Vivaldi continues to grow steadily, as more people get to know us and the values we stand for. Our users are fed up with AI being shoved down their throat on every product, and they're fed up with the way the big corporations have been (mis)treating us all for decades.

We love building an alternative for all of you, because we truly believe you deserve better. But we wouldn't be here without your support, so if you're using Vivaldi: thank you!

We're now officially 4.5 million people. 🎉 Wouldn't it be amazing if we could make it to 5M before 2026 is over? 🙏

FUCKING STUDENT LOANS AGAIN: $0/400

i don't really want to do this yet again because fuck im tired of it, but i need about $400 ASAP to pay off round one of student loans. i can't donate plasma (i have SOME kind of seizure disorder, something that instantly disqualifies me from any reputable center), employers love to not get back to me timely or just deny me before I even talk to a hiring manager, and I still haven't been able to find anything close by that'll pay at least some bills in the meantime.

i need the 400 ASAP, like, by end of day, so i can schedule the payment to process and it doesn't complain to me or slap me with late fees. it'll still take a day or two to fully process and pay out, but i can at least schedule it and know it should process.

The rubber on my old wheelchair wheels is finally wearing down. I have been using it as my "indoor" wheelchair for awhile now because its quieter but now there are black streaks all over my floor. The thing is like 4 years old and the breaks are starting to fail on it too.

I dunno what I should do. I could always go back to using my nicer wheelchair full time inside or I could find another moderately priced one to replace it with.

I don't really have a ton of money but it is kind of convenient to have two wheelchairs that are designed for two different things. I also really, really, really, really need replacement tires for my good wheelchair the community bought me, so maybe I should just put my money towards that instead.

Does anyone who uses manual wheelchairs have any advice or input? How many wheelchairs do you have? Do you have a indoor and and an outdoor chair or do you just focus on having one all purpose chair thats really solid? If I have limited resources I'd rather just start putting my money towards things that make sense instead of wasting it on something I don't really need.

Hey, if you don't like invasive anti-cheat, or bullshit excuses about why it hasn't worked under Linux for years despite there being a working Easy Anti-Cheat client for a number of games,

There's a hell of a lot of other good, hell, better games you could be playing instead.

PLease tell the eu your concern about this Child online safety initiative

it will destroy the internet and gaming (in the whole eu and even other parts of the world will suffer because of this)

Amsterdam police seized a server belonging to Autistici/Inventati (A/I) from a data center at Amsterdam Science Park, acting on a US legal assistance request. Police digital experts are making an image of the drive, which goes straight to the US.

A/I spent 25 years providing free web hosting and email to about 20,000 left-wing and anti-capitalist groups. In August the US branded it a terrorist organization.

I’ve been on fedi for 3 years, so I’m taking the opportunity of #PortfolioDay to make a proper #introduction !

My name is Nighten and I love to draw very detailed illustration about city and nature. Most of my artworks are set in the same continuity and universe, see if you can spot the link between them!

Most importantly, I publish a weekly art newsletter where I dive deep into my art, project and inspiration. I think it’s very good so feel free to join and read the archive! :)

(You even get free coloring pages by subscribing!)

And thank you if you decide to follow me! I hope my art will bring you joy 🌸

In Small Modular (nuclear) Reactors, a Final Investment Decision apparently isn't final.

In NL kunnen rechters de uitlevering van een eigen onderdaan aan de VS tegenhouden, bijvoorbeeld vanwege de vrees dat iemand daar ten onrechte als terrorist wordt behandeld. Ohhh, the irony…

Kasteel Van Poeke, also known as Chateau VP, is an old historic residence in Aalter, Belgium. I visited this castle with permission many years ago. While not a true "lost place", it is a beautiful space that has a similar aesthetic alongside stunning architecture.

The castle can be rented for public and private events, ranging from art exhibitions to car shows and cultural gatherings. I expect it isn't cheap to book, though!

And did a matcha tiramisu for the party 🎉

Anyone here with photocromic glass lenses?

I'd like to know if it helps with severe photosensitivity and migraines inside, not only outside as I'm home almost all the time.

Since it's expensive even if I have a prescription, I'd rather get some opinions if possible. Thanks for any help!

Trans people: "We would like basic healthcare, people calling us by our names, and treating us as our gender."

Transphobes: So you want to mutilate children!

Trans people: What? No! What the fuck are you talking about?!?

Transphobes: So you want to rape women then!

Trans people: Hunh? Wait a second, how did you get to that conclusion? Fuck no!

Transphobes: You're basically calling for the downfall of Western Civilization then!

Trans people: Yes! Well... But not because of that, that's a whole separate issue. Right now we're just talking about healthcare and names.

This is my favorite statue that exists.

Ah yes anime, please show a male to male extension cord. This too is yaoi.

As in, I yell YAOI! because it hurts so much when I'm being electrocuted to death.
