    @ai6yr I am guessing they feel like they are beyond consequences - having so rarely had to face consequences in the past

    And “macho” (according to my Spanish teacher) means either a sterile mule or a sterile donkey I can’t remember which but either way it’s not worth bragging about

    @MsMerope Correct, these folks think they are beyond consequences for everything. Privileged background and upbringing, combined with youth, and also wealth, combined with selection for bravado and "not listening to anyone else" in the industry being considered important things.

    @ai6yr @MsMerope to be fair, kids are looking for break out opposition space. they could innovate, they could improvise, but some evil corporate scumbag is hooking them instead to herd behavior that is highly self-destructive.
