Last year I got some ink that I really liked (the Violet Bee by Octopus Fluids), but it didn't work well with my Faber-Castell Ambition pen — either the ink was too thick or the nib too fine or idk, but I could never get it to flow properly, and it would dry out in the tip within hours.

Now my parents got me a new fountain pen for my birthday, the TWSBI Diamond 580ALR (Fine), and it works *so much better* (see picture). Now I just need to look for excuses to write in pen.
