tfw there's a project that your PhD heavily depends on and you're contributing to but then you see some sussy PRs so you reach out to the lead dev and set up a meeting about the project's AI policy where he tells you that it's just a tool and you shouldn't look at the obviously slop WIP PRs and instead of a policy he adds an AGENTS.md that instructs agents not to use commit trailers so you can't even ask Asta to add it to the Kompromat and well shit I guess now you spend some time on forking the two repos you need and ripping out the assisted commits and after vagueposting about it you're lowkey announcing that these forks exist but you're not advertising it too much since it's not packaged anywhere and you don't want to do all that and you don't know if you'll keep maintaining them after you finish your PhD next year but hey you already fixed some bugs and maybe just maybe you can also fix all the whitespace crimes in the codebase
Wouldn't that be something
