* alix3d3 (i586) - it finds out what uses SSE2 when it shouldn't
* er4 (evbmips64n64eb) - it finds out when things hardcode a list of supported archs
* mac mini (powerpc; usually runs darwin) - it finds out when things don't specify a c/c++ lang std
* olimex a64 (aarch64) - it finds out when the arm drivers get too piney.
* banana pi (earmv7hfeb) - ugh.
* blade 150 (sparc64, bottom) - it finds out EVERYTHING.
100% not running 24/7.

@vinishor @washbear @guenther octeon is the name of the specific brand of chip, they're made by a company called cavium and used in a bunch of different products including the ubiquiti edgerouters

@CliffsEsport @washbear @guenther Mac Mini G4 is a decent choice, this one has a 128gb UDMA7 CompactFlash card in place of an IDE hard disk. But they only have 100BASET Ethernet unless you use the FireWire.

I was using it as a distraction-free box for creative tasks - NetBSD is too good at running web browsers for that. Lately I'm using a Sega Saturn. https://washbear.neocities.org/techno-motor/ because the 10.4 USB stack has an issue with my keyboard.

So is it full macos you're running then? Sounds like you're just using it for the unix parts. I do know it's possible to get a plain console login without the GUI
