@znurre No I've never been. Not even sure if this exists where I live.
For some reason this makes me recall a time before EDM and it was just called dance music, where it costs around $75 or more per CD just to get a copy in central Canada. My has time changed now.

@adamsdesk Oh yeah, I am old enough to remember those times as well. Here in Europe it was way cheaper, haha.
And yeah... I don't think Canada has that much of a demoscene presence, unfortunately 😞

@znurre Oh I realized that, but thankfully it's no longer an issue.
I did get a few demoscene cassette tapes, but I've never heard of demoparties. Could be there just not widely talked about.

@adamsdesk I have actually not heard about any demoparties in Canada. A quick check of https://demoparty.net shows that there is *one* demoparty in 2025 in the entirety of NA, and that is in the US 😞
So I guess it's not really a big thing in NA, which would explain why you haven't heard about them. Here in Europe, they are very abundant as you can see 😄

@adamsdesk They are cool events anyway, especially if you're into digital creativity. I would really recommend you to go to one if you get the opportunity. People are usually super welcoming, even if you don't know much about the demoscene 🙂

@znurre Some time maybe. This is different than what you're talking about but I've dreamed of going to Tomorrowland. I've never been to something like this so not certain how it would really be.

@adamsdesk I haven't been to an electronic music festival of that size, so cannot say for sure. I have been to smaller underground rave parties though (~300 people), and those have been really good with amazing vibes.
I am sure a festival like Tomorrowland would be amazing as well!
