I just finished @cstross 's latest book - "Season of Skulls" and I have to say, whatever he's been taking to combat Long Covid may be hallucinogenic. It was a fun read for sure, though a very long way from where the Laundry Files started.
Also, he's one of a very very small number of authors that can make me resort to the dictionary feature built into my kindle.

@cstross @lilithsaintcrow I’ll read it. I recall enjoying the earlier stuff. One scene i think I recall dealt with the realities of air in hidden places on a space ship not circulating well as there are fewer fans. I remember thinking that was ignored in most novels.
You know, it occurs to me that the oddly distorted, not quite accurate reality of the "dream road" pocket universes drawn from an interpretation of the Jungian collective -- is a REMARKABLE MATCH for what ChatGPT would create if asked to create those worlds.
The ChatGPT / Dream Roads interpretation is really dead on.
