My plans have been ruined by allergy to autumn.

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax.

- 100-500× faster than mermaid.js
- 6× smaller bundle
- No dependencies
- Easy to theme
- Responsive to device width

In pursuit of making #Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now!

Plans for the weekend, among others:

- update to Ubuntu 26.10
- land go-i18n's grammatical agreement features
- release go-infer and the educational application
- release new image-garden with pkgproxy integration
- vacuum/laundry/sorting old clothing
- take a bike ride
- fly the drone a little
- maybe finish planned missions module on drony.gov.pl to gain new abilities

Since February 2025, Trump has sanctioned nine ICC judges in the Hague.

They have been unable to use their Visa credit cards, they cannot use Google, Apple, Amazon, or any other American service.

This is one man trying to intimidate the court system recognized by 125 nations, because his friend Netanjahu is not allowed to carry out a genocide.

Madness!

sudo systemctl reboot --firmware-setup

Extremely useful means of rebooting straight to the bios setup I only found out about this recently!

Much clear. Most helpful.

I made another thing that is useful for testing tools that use LLM servers without actually needing an LLM server https://snapcraft.io/mannequin

Great talk about #opensource such as why people share code and knowledge for free. Also about the different project governance types and challenges. With a nice reference in it to @bagder

As an open source developer myself, I think Jono did a great job to give a good insight into open source software 👌

We spent the last 6 months polishing the experience, to make it more accessible and more user-friendly. Unlike the current tech industry, we go slow and fix things! (1/3)

I knew crowds, like slashdot and reddit, are just showing the average of humanity is not very high but man the comments here are just dumb https://news.slashdot.org/story/26/09/15/2115242/ubuntus-rust-ification-hits-new-milestone-coreutils-migration-is-complete

Dji person tracking feature is scary good. I ordered my drone to follow me behind my back at a set distance while avoiding obscacles.

I could run, turn and try to avoid it but it just kept flying and manuvering autonomously.

If this thing were trying to kill me I'd be dead.

Spending time outside is such a lovely thing.

The Netherlands forced Meta to let users ditch algorithmic feeds — and it actually happened.
A Dutch court ruled that Facebook & Instagram must offer a chronological, non-algorithmic feed option. The result? Users can finally choose to see posts in order, not by engagement bait.
A big deal for #DigitalRights, #PlatformRegulation, and anyone tired of the #Algorithm deciding what they see.
