@jerry Tried to access fedia.io and brave complained about the certificate. I've never seen this error. Maybe brave is getting extra picky about certs or maybe the server needs some attention.
Anyway, I hope you don't spend a long time on this. Or it's just a random "Schpilkis in the Genekticazoink" error (that's my Default Answer™)
Someone should toss a bunch of golden mussels into the Reflecting pool. They'd eat the algae and restaurants can server them as an appetizer with butter and garlic.

I suspect I am going to get a lot of use out of this new sticker design.

Adam admits his home has a DoorKing for security. You can break into it by buying a key for it on Amazon. The same key opens ALL OF THEM, including the one on my front gate. Short out 2 contacts, and the door opens.
What's wrong with this picture?
@jerry If someone were to setup servers, say on Hetzner in Germany, and create a site that tracks ICE or private planes, would the German government take it down if Trump complained?

@angusm @billclawson @pluralistic when we’re all dead, the fundraising texts will stop, so
“Fresh clean laundry? Let me get started shedding on that for you right away.”
@Natasha_Jay And for those of us lighting that first candle tomorrow night...here's hoping it doesn't drip on your coffee table.
Got SPAM from Target.com sent to through my on-line account. I logged into my preferences to attempt to opt-out of getting such SPAM.
NOPE. There's no option on the site to not get marketing emails. Tried to call the customer service line and got an AI phone tree to offer me a special offer on a Medic Alert device. Selecting NO for all options drops me to their support desk, which hangs up the call.
I'd say TARGET, now teaming with CVS and UNITED HELL-THcare, has reached end-stage enshitification. There's no way to contact a person. All the links to leave feedback don't work. And there's no option to close the account.
After going through all this, I just wanted to reach through the phone to a person and kill them dead with a Klingon Disruptor set on SCREAM IN UNENDING PAIN AND DIE.
And there's no Target on Mastodon to kvetch to them.
@pluralistic
Boing Boing is dead to me.
Enshitification is complete.
You should put this in your book.
@pluralistic I don't fault Boing Boing for offering the subscription or ad-supported model to allow people to access the site. But removing free access to articles just put it on the #BOINGBOINGENSHITIFIED list for me. I don't access sites that require me to turn off ad-blocking, so Boing Boing is now redirected to 127.0.0.1 and dead to me.
[sigh]
Apparently, Trump's Campaign sent a Cease and Desist letter to @ProjectLincoln. They posted a Tick-Tok response that's just to good to not spread far and wide.
I hope Donald is stupid enough to actually sue.
[It's a big file and I tried to post it, but I also put it on my web site. If your mastodon instance doesn't see it, try the link below]
@bookstodon @seananmcguire I stumbled across this burb for an upcoming WHAT-IF crossover comic. I couldn't sign up fast enough for the pre-sale.
Now I have to wait until next July for it. 😢
I'm a great fan of Libro.fm, the alternative audiobook store tooted by @pluralistic. His next audiobook Kickstarter just dropped. I got the ebook and the audiobook.
I'm really excited to hear him read his own work. And his director didn't need to borrow my Mother's black whip at all.

@pluralistic is kickstarting his next book (and audiobook) about how to end the enshitification cycle of the companies and take back the Internet. I pledged to by an ebook and audiobook.
You can too.
