Somebody tell grandpa:

US President Donald Trump said “massive” oil, gas and mineral exploration is set to begin in “our new and beautiful Greenland” early on Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear what exploration or developments the US president was referring to in his post, and Greenland is a self-governing territory of Denmark, rather than a part of the United States.

Thanks to everyone’s feedback I’m currently testing bunny.net with my fname.ca domain.

Onboarding wasn’t super-difficult, there were a few differences with terminology but overall it was fairly intuitive. They offer a 14-day trial that doesn’t require a credit card, so I’m hoping to get a feel for traffic/cost in that time.

Ladies & Gentlemen: the President of the United States of America, someone with virtually unlimited access to information & intelligence from across the globe, has only just now figured out that the guy whose murder they were planning to livestream is a paraplegic.

If your refrigerator can be set for any temperatures above zero is not a refrigerator.

Suggestions for something like btop that I can use to monitor my server, but through a web page. Go!

Ok, so what’s the plan?

Canada suffered from an extreme lack of competition in the grocery and telecommunications sectors. This is sort-of acknowledged in the article but what’s next? How are we going to address the problem? The competition bureau has largely been a failure until this point, what are we going to do differently?

There’s your k-shaped economy right there!

Kid 2 comes and tells me the keyboard we share in my office has carked it. I go looking online looking for what stores near me have in stock and I find this:

😵

What I’d like to know is: all this wealth that we were promised with all these resource projects like TMX and LNG, when are we supposed to see the promised benefits?

TMX has been operating for almost two years now, phase 1 of LNG Canada’s operations started shipping in December. When exactly are we (the public) going to realise our returns as investors?

Halfway there… 💪

Coincidence? 🤔

The move came just hours after the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced it was awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Navanethem "Navi" Pillay, a South African-born human rights official who served as an ICC judge from 2003 to 2008
