    Truly amazing how a group “devoted” to “authors” “wrote” a wholly meaningless “charter” crammed full of weasel words, empty marketing lingo, *classically* slippery philosophical concepts like fucking “good,” & condescending hand-wavy “I hereby declare Facebook is forbidden to use my personal data!!”disclaimer vaguespeak a 3rd grader could chase up a sophist-tree to mean just about anything.

    @Catvalente I've written to cancel my membership. It's sickening to feel thrown under the bus by the writers' 'union', the Society of Authors.

    Even worse, their recent members' magazine had an article + editorial saying LLMs are great for disabled writers as they level the playing field. Well they're not great for this chronically ill writer whose work they stole!

    Related, I wrote 2 weeks ago to complain about their 'free training' on Substack - not newsletters. Just Substack. No reply.

    @Catvalente @mariafarrell
    I am a disabled writer and artist and agree with this statement 100%. Plus AI has been silencing us because of the slop taking over book and writing platforms and drowning our work among it. Most sloppists are just scammers and use us an excuse to keep using it.

    We work despite our disabilities and that makes our voices more valuable. AI only gives shit averages, and you can guess how diverse "an average" always is...
