Anyone hiring?

I don't even care what it is anymore. I'll work it to the best of my ability regardless of what it is. I just want to live.

Compliance readiness?
Vulnerability management?
Just plain-old IT?
All of it? I've done most of it.

I just also enjoy affording food, a roof over my head, and not feeling like my life is a step away from homelessness at all times. I don't ask for much.

They yoinked their backups from a phish they're claiming.

There's a lot of steps between phish and yoinked backups, bruh.

Well, Maricopa County Courts got popped and I only knew because of this email.

My internal rage in two pictures, perfectly summarized.

I have not made a solid decision on distro yet, but I lean towards Debian and Ubuntu based flavors just because I know them really well.

I am about to wipe Windows off of my daily driver.

I am...not scared, because I'm comfortable AF in linux anyways.

It's just a big change? I don't know. It feels really fucking strange to me.

I feel like I nailed that interview.

I hope I did. I really want this one. It's my dream job in my dream industry doing what I want to be doing.

This is huge for me if I get it. It's by far the highest thing I've ever shot for.

If I don't get it, I'll be sad, but I've still got two other interview chains going! I just got an invite to meet with the CEO of an IR firm, and that's the last step!

So things are looking up.

“To the Feds, I'll keep this short, because I do respect what you do for our country. To save you a lengthy investigation, I state plainly that I wasn't working with anyone. This was fairly trivial: some elementary social engineering, basic CAD, a lot of patience. The spiral notebook, if present, has some straggling notes and To Do lists that illuminate the gist of it. My tech is pretty locked down because I work in engineering so probably not much info there. I do apologize for any strife of traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy. United is the [indecipherable] largest company in the US by market cap, behind only Apple, Google, Walmart. It has grown and grown, but as our life expectancy? No the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allwed them to get away with it. Obviously the problem is more complex, but I do not have space, and frankly I do not pretend to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument. But many have illuminated the corruption and greed (e.g.: Rosenthal, Moore), decades ago and the problems simply remain. It is not an issue of awareness at this point, but clearly power games at play. Evidently I am the first to face it with such brutal honesty.” -Luigi Mangione

This line, in all its forms, in any article...is just fucking wild.

"...even after two impeachments, felony convictions and his attempt to overturn his previous election loss."

So no, I will not be tone policed any time I advocate for punching a fascist in the face. We're not disagreeing on policy. We're disagreeing that human beings have a right to exist regardless of color, religion, sexual orientation, sexual identity, or nationality.

Nazis get punched.

If I find out a client is a trump supporter, I will refuse to do fuck-all for them and let them know why. This is rare in my specific sector, but it can happen; even scientists are sometimes fascists.

There is no more pretending to get along. They are not neighbors, friends, or family. They are the enemy.
