Aug 16, 2026, 11:02 AM@0xabad1dea Reminds me of a talk at the RMO during the last Week of Archaeology about how Bell Beaker ‘battle axes’ were probably just the heads of shepherd’s axes (an axe/walking stick combo) where one presenter recalled how he kept tricking his unconvinced colleagues into using his replica for its intended purpose (as a walking stick on rough terrain) on a field outing
