If you need marinara dipping sauce for just a few things you make like, oh I dunno, mozzarella sticks, or maybe chicken parm sandwiches, just buy a jar of pizza sauce. Often I've opened a whole jar of spaghetti sauce and forgotten about it, it goes to waste.
By the way, pizza sauce is good drizzled on some zucchini I took out of the air fryer.

Yesss... And I try not to eat too much pasta to begin with. I'm not sure if it's much of a cost savings, but I dislike wasting food.
@LikeItOrLumpIt I found pizza sauce in a little squeeze bottle which is a bit more convenient and seems to keep longer in my fridge, despite my Sicilian grandmother rolling in her grave

I bought a tube of tomato paste that way too, and it keeps quite a long time. Sometimes you only need a couple spoons of it.

That sounds yummy. I take my marinara sauce from a freezer bag containing cubes of it. Gonna try some on zucchini when I get home. 🌸
I love zucchini on its own, but this just elevated it a bit. Oh, the cubes are a great idea.
