Ok so I've psyched myself into treating my camera-awareness as "stage fright." I pushed all my data-security fears aside and told myself that if there is an audience it is only an audience of one: my friend, who is very supportive and I love her to bits and wouldn't she like a little musical performance?

So I hooked Pandora up to the speaker, thumbed my way to an hour of ad-free music, and I rocked out. Full theatrical performances of favorites like Bohemian Rhapsody and lots of NIN. Success!

I have a problem with cameras in my inner environment. They sop up my awareness to the point that they are distracting.

I'm staying over at a friend's house, and I literally have a mental map of "camera cones" that is just as real as anything else in this house. I find myself taking measures to be "off camera."

I have been abused with covert recordings, including in the shower. Camera-sensitivity is a matter of survival and personal safety. But how can I turn the internal alarms off? 😶

Been watching tree-trimmers dismantle a 60-foot oak tree... this is fascinating! They've got ropes and pullies to guide the cut limbs down in a controlled descent. These 2 guys have an amazing rhythm between them, a very graceful athletic display of skill. 😍🪵🪚👏

El Niño can amplify an already-warmer world, and the already-warm world can amplify the El Niño. It's a vicious loop that we're trapped in.

Grampa and I finished decorating Grandma's urn. She has treasured these 4 angel figurines forever and we featured one on each face of her cremains box. The crowning touch is the addition of Grandma as a 5th angel, with a photo taken last November in her final days of wellness.

Grampa and I had several arts-n-crafts sessions completing this project and it was a great way for us to process our grief together while giggling a bit. 💙🥰💙

Paddled 4 challenging miles with BFF in just under 3 hours. Stan was running 250cfs and 61° with 82-92° air. Saw 1 turtle, several raptors, several blue herons and ducks. Saw hundreds of fish, including a dozen or so juveniles that nibbled at my ankles while I was wading waist deep - that was fun! 🌸

My community has borrowed a herd of goats to clear a fire line between our homes & the river.

Decades of overgrowth have dominated our riverbank & it has become a fire hazard. A couple of years ago a wildfire jumped the river & advanced on our homes & we've been seeking a solution since then.

Introducing, the Goat Brigade! 40 fit & feisty goats chomping their way thru wild grapes, blackberry vines, willow & mulberry. They are raised & tended by inmates at the Honor Farm (Sheriff). 🐐🐐🐐🩷🩷🩷🐐🐐🐐
