    I can post this now that the “don’t jinx it” moratorium has passed.

    From Monday night when I released a small group of bats until about 2pm today, I had my first 42 hours with zero* clinical/rehab patients in my house since I took in my first patient on 24 December 2025. 😅

    * There are always a couple of non-releasable geriBatric and non-flighted batties that are well cared for indefinitely, but they’re no longer considered “patients”.

    (The rules for this vary drastically by state/country. Also I love them but bats would make terrible “pets” so this should never be a goal!)
