we got some antlers a while ago for the dogs, but they have long since lost interest in them. I soaked a couple in chicken stock and now they are interested (maybe too interested) in them again. I'm trying to encourage one of my dogs to chew stuff for his teeth so that's good.
The bad is one dog really thinks BOTH antlers should be his.
@nirak We have antlers too. It's weird because they will ignore them for months and then wake up one day and it will be the best thing ever for a week or 2 and then ignored again.
@pawpower for a while I was putting them up and then getting them back out as a treat, but then even that wasn’t good enough anymore. Now that they are softened, though, they can kind of gnaw off more and I'm not sure if that's great either? I dunno.
@nirak I should make turkey stock and see if they like it on their antlers. Baloo can have turkey.
@pawpower can he have turkey but not chicken? We used to have a cat allergic to all poultry but not just chicken!
@nirak she is allergic to duck and chicken and quail, but not to turkey. It's really bizarre.
