Secondly it is weird to be so old that I have a stack of anecdotes and stories that people are actually interested to hear over a drink or a meal.

@revk I've learned so much in Pubs. We need more generation mixing. But then I have no pub around. The nearest one is 25 km away.
We have one on every corner in the UK.

@tripplehelix @Szescstopni @revk sadly they're closing at quite a rate. My little satellite town is down to two I think now, from at least five 20 years ago.
Yea, we lost one here recently too, but we've been losing all services slowly over time.

Not in my village, we have very strong groups and clubs that run every day throughout the week.
Pub's are not the only meeting place. There are much better places to hang out.
People make the village, not the businesses.

@revk We were randomly in THE pub earlier this year.
I thought the number of eInk panels was high and Defib was unusual.
But the kitchen was closed, and needs must!
