FFS even if the #Tesla flying car was real (LOL) there is zero chance it would ever ever be road legal and even less chance it would ever be flight legal! Imagine having to pass a pilot’s medical to drive your car. Wow.
Alien was released as a summer bombshell (to tepid reviews; movie snobs back then could not be arsed to actually enjoy a horror title) but is it... a Halloween Season or a Christmas Season movie?

I am really looking forward to flying cars coming to my city.
I'll bet they are:
1. really quiet
2. totally safe
3. absolutely necessary, it is amazing we have got this far without them
4. the answer to all traffic congestion problems
5. very simple to maintain
6. a practical way to take the kids to school AND do the shopping
7. free of any down-sides
Nice narrow window there #amazon.
If you write a headline "Octopus explosion off South West prompts talks between fishermen and scientists", I expect a Famous Five meeting in a shed, where some fishermen ask scientists who has been working on exploding octopuses, and everyone denies it, especially Mr Miles Squidbanger who would not recognise an octopus if it swam up to him and anyway it is very hard to put dynamite in an octopus as this strange scar on his wrist shows.
What was that word for nostalgia for times you didn’t personally experience?
Because yesterday I visited the Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry & Technology, and I totally felt that.

Withings has really messed up with the Subscription plan (charging for Apple health sync)
We have a scale from 2014 that still (mostly) works, and I was looking at replacements as the WiFi connection is getting a bit cranky at time.
Won’t be considering Withings anymore even if they backtrack on their subscription plans. Oops.
If you have a #Tesla battery (yes, I know, hard to change it) and utility linked tariff info. May be worth checking.
The damn thing lost tariff data two weeks ago and has just sat at full charge doing nothing. No fallback to previous know or even my manually entered. No warning or notice on the app or by other means. Just broken.
I was able to reconnect to #octopus and now it has tariff data again, but this is just shit.

Firstly I would like to thank the couple that came to the pub. Nice to meet you. I don’t know your handles on here.
Secondly it is weird to be so old that I have a stack of anecdotes and stories that people are actually interested to hear over a drink or a meal.
I hope you enjoyed the evening as well.
It is going to be dangerously tempting to walk away from some open source with a "fuck it, go slop the lot if you want".
I really hope not.
But maybe it comes time to retire at some point.
