".. as we watched the footage of terrified horses galloping over cindering heathland in the New Forest while yet another wildfire took hold, it no longer felt too soon to wonder .. why is Burnham ignoring what is in front of his face – the devastating impact of climate breakdown on the country and its citizens?"

Welcome to 'fuck' :(

The Administrative Court has today handed down a significant judgment confirming the Environment Agency’s powers to prosecute former employees of Southern Water.

Four former employees from Southern Water, including the former Chief Executive Officer Matthew Wright, face a charge of conspiracy to defraud.

@beasts did anything change about your IMAP server configuration on the evening of March 22? I have a regular job that runs fdm (https://github.com/nicm/fdm) that seems to have been failing since then (yes I need better monitoring!) Likely an fdm bug, but if I knew what changed, if anything, it might make tracking it down easier.

Google Photos nuked in favour of @ente - full de-Googling is going to be a slow process, but this is definite progress! And honestly, I think the usability is _better_ - something I'm finding more and more as I try to escape Big Tech.

Another example is how much nicer @forgejo on @Codeberg is to use compared to modern Github; ethical tech choices no longer mean accepting a worse experience!

If you're concerned about what a UK DOGE would look like, you're not alone.

Sycamore Collective is organising a small, Chatham House rules event, hosted by CAMRI (University of Westminster), on 18 June in central London to explore options for pro-democracy future proofing.

We're asking people to "apply to attend" because we know there could be sensitivities for some attendees, and the aim is to make this a safe space for everyone who takes part.
