Reminder: forced password rotation is a bad thing and must be avoided.
Because all the characters will slide towards one side, the resulting distribution will not be random, but very skewed.

@kathakatze @cfr34k Once I had a system which told me the standard "password must contain lower case, upper case, special character (but only from our list of allowed special characters) and a numerical" but not that it will cut my password after the 20th character...

@kathakatze Even worse if you rotate it often enough for centrifugal effects to kick in. Then the characters will be sorted by weight

Oh, and the heavier (bold) letters will accumulate at the lower side while the lighter ones will pop to the top.

@kathakatze ... new password creation rule, it has to balance the input box. Same pixel count on both sides, otherwise it tips over.

@kathakatze Just add a global user style to someone else’s desktop Safari that rotates everything by .2 degrees.
Fun!

@kathakatze ugh I hate seeing bad security advice here, you just have to rotate it along the z axis

@kathakatze If you have the Stylus browser extension, you can add
:has(> input[type="password"]) {
rotate: -10deg;
}
to every page for a internet-wide password rotation (please don't, this is a very slow CSS rule) - adjust the rotation to your liking :awesome_rotate:
