an article title beginning 'elf-Determination'
new-to-me misspelling: relashionship (this has a surprising number of results when searched by itself!)
call numbers
legal citations
someone who adjusted their query by converting uppercase letters to lowercase
advanced search in Any field across four boxes, with * at the very end of each term (e.g. reports* --hon, what do you think that will do??)
The strangest by far: odd alphanumeric strings like 'PrdtuToz3cw' or 'SME5GyLFvs8'.

@calimae the last is probably people accidentally pasting passwords into the wrong tab.
I’m sad you have nothing in the collection about Elf Determination.

@hugh oh, that's an interesting thought. Folks did it a bunch of times, if so, and with at least half a dozen different strings.
I didn't try searching elf determination by itself but now I want to, lol.

@hugh @calimae But do you have _Elf Defense_?
(I recall reading Estther Friesner's urban fantasy novel of that name not long after it came out, and being somewhat amused, but haven't been back to it since.)

@JMarkOckerbloom @hugh @calimae I actually had students digitize a tape two summers back that was titled “Our Bodies, Our Elves.” I spent the whole summer thinking, “Oh no, it’s misspelled in our inventory, how embarrassing.” But when the students got to it in the last week of summer, it turned out the title was a pun!
About 3 days later I happened to run into the creator at CVS. The whole thing feels like a fever dream, but it’s in our digital library: https://digitalcollections.tricolib.brynmawr.edu/node/521263
