Pretty sure that slashing a dinghy with a knife while there is an emergency worker on board is illegal.
I do hope Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary take this seriously.

Time to resurrect 43 Group
@statsguy yikes!
Whether it's a specific offense or not, deliberately damaging a boat someone is on sounds like attempted murder to me!
@statsguy these utter ghouls and their troll army need to gtfo of here. Now. Fascist cnts.
@statsguy Possibly chargeable with whatever the UK version of ‘wilfully endangering a life’ would be.
@statsguy Surely that's attempted murder?
@MiaMarkTwo Dunno, I think that might be a stretch. You'd probably have to prove an intent to kill, which might be difficult. Maybe piracy on the high seas would be worth a shot?
Failing that, I would assume that an offence under the Emergency Workers (Obstruction) Act 2006 would be a slam dunk.
@MiaMarkTwo @jetlagjen @hamishtpb Ah wait, not piracy on the high seas. It has to be outside UK territorial waters for that to count.
Though there must surely be some equivalent offence in territorial waters.
@statsguy @MiaMarkTwo @jetlagjen @hamishtpb is there no offence of piracy within UK territorial waters? The intentional attacking of another vessel looks a lot like piracy to me...
@quixoticgeek @MiaMarkTwo @jetlagjen @hamishtpb I'm sure there must be some other offence when it happens in inshore waters, it's just not called piracy
@statsguy
As far as I know even screaming at someone without touching them is assault if they're in fear of violence.
@econads @statsguy @jetlagjen @hamishtpb
Maybe assault with an intent to cause harm? I'd have thought his obvious and well-documented previous would be taken into consideration too.
