Hello everyone! I’m looking for someone who can help me create a fundraising link to raise money to acquire land for farming and building a better future for my family and community. If you know how to set up a fundraising campaign or can guide me to a suitable platform, please reach out. Any advice or support would mean a lot. Please repost to help me reach the right person. Together, we can make this dream a reality!

I’ve been on Mastodon for almost a decade now but haven’t posted much recently. I’ve started this new profile to try and have a bit of fun with the fediverse again.

I live in a small village in Hampshire, England. I enjoy running, being climbed on by my cats, starting projects I’ll never finish and a nice hot cup of tea.

#introduction

What's the pettiest thing you do?

For me, it's on this day every year I make a point of messaging my kids mother - my ex-wife - to wish her a happy birthday. Because she never, ever wishes me one in return.

We don't have a dreadful relationship (these days), and have been known to have friendly conversations, but she got it in her head years ago that I was a comically, villainously poor father to our son. Though I wasn't entirely blameless, she treated me like shit and never once apologised. But she's my kids mother and I'm awfully fond of him, so I always tried to maintain a cordial relationship at best.

So yeah, every year on this day I wish her a happy borthday. And every year on mine, she doesn't even remind our son.

Looking for #disabled people who want a friendship and someone who doesn't mind me popping into their DMs regularly. In terms of #disabilities, I have juvenile #lupus and kidney failure which is a result of it. I also have #LongCovid, #diabetes, #cerebralpalsy, #AuDHD, #osteoporosis, and a slew of #mentalhealth diagnoses. I use oxygen, 24/7 oxygen user due to Long Covid as well as a full time wheelchair user. A boost would mean alot. #introduction #newhere

@prism I just read all 117 in this thread, and some people really are pricks. Shouldn't be let out of the house honestly.
I'm sorry this happened. first thing I did when installing this machine was build a tool to make it piss off. Immediately.
It will not help you this time, but maybe tomorrow, next week, next month if you ever have to reinstall.

My story is emphatically not uncommon.

Good thread, solid arguments, I’m not saying he’s wrong. But if you’re a woman, Black, or any number of other , possibly intersecting, marginalities who sees the world differently than the white men who built that framework around themselves, you probably hear “the clock is ticking” and think “baby that clock been ticking for 30 years.”

Like it was built specifically to tick. It was never not ticking.

What is currently happening with the Linux kernel, much like tech in general, and the entirety of end-times fascism, was what we were always tryna tell y’all.

I haven't used #GetFediHired yet, but hoping that yall can help some!

I do web development, and have been working with #WordPress professionally for nearly two decades. I value accessibility and snappy performance. I also have experience in training and teaching web development.

Got any PHP or Javascript projects? A Laravel site that needs new features? Someone who loves the intricacies of CSS and HTML? I am actively available and have projects to share as examples!

This community has given me a ton, and I'm hopeful there are folks out there with the right connections

@Willow Exactly, and go further. Not just sex or gender. Anything. Everything. want to know my age? Location? Nationality? No. Why do you need to know? I'm not telling you that.

Starting in 2027, Google will require every Android app developer to register centrally, provide government ID, and submit signing key evidence. Apps from unregistered developers will be blocked on all certified devices worldwide. This threatens F-Droid, open-source distribution, and user autonomy. @keepandroidopen #KeepAndroidOpen https://keepandroidopen.org

A friend is looking for a place to stay, ideally around Cork or Dublin, to exit an abusive situation as soon as possible.

Any pointer would help her, especially queer and trans friendly spaces.

edit: she's found a place,
thank you everyone for the incredible support <3
