Interesting results, I though sleep mode would win, but I mean we're on Mastodon. Anyway, thanks everyone!
drieddried@sonomu.clubAug 10, 2026, 12:40 PM@entreprecariat if I leave it for longer than a day or so
Erik the short (vi)kingbright_helpings@mspsocial.netAug 10, 2026, 1:11 PM@entreprecariat If I'm traveling and it won't be needed for at least a couple hours. Doesn't get so hot in my backpack that way.
Otherwise I shut down my work laptop at the end of the work day.
Hart of the Wudpraxeology@post.lurk.orgAug 10, 2026, 5:42 PM@entreprecariat I have a slightly wonky power-management setup and an old battery. Sometimes I don't pay attention and let it get so low that it will just suddenly shut down. If I'm just reading or doing non-urgent things then I take it as a sign and just leave it off for a while.
filobusfilobus@sociale.networkAug 12, 2026, 10:15 AM@entreprecariat I hybernate it
But I restart myself more often
