so the yarn i've been spinning For Ever now has both an extremely short staple (and probably had the shortest locks carded into it, instead of discarded pre-wash). i've been trying to knit it into a blanket but i'm a bit worried it will just Forever Shed. working with it means littering wool dust and bits of strands in a 2 meter radius around me.
any ideas on how to proceed? will it stop shedding after a time? should i make something else, where shedding won't be such an issue? what could i make? is there a way to treat the yarn or finished product that would help? i'd rather not felt it, i haven't ever seen something felted that i liked, but if you have a Favorite Felted Thing feel free to suggest it, i'll have a look.
(maybe it will just have to be a lap blanket for use on the balcony...?)
