    I've been writing software for 30 years and AI generated code doesn't scare me or upset me.

    I always told people I can teach someone the mechanics of writing code in like 6 months and they will be amazing.

    The hardest part of writing software is knowing what to build, for whom, to solve what problem.

    @mempko Are you assuming that the AI is writing decent code, though? I think the objection is less that it is displacing humans and more that it's displacing humans who actually understand things better and write better code with fewer weaknesses.
