Kim van Wykkimvanwyk@fosstodon.orgNov 7, 2026, 5:34 PM@vicgrinberg it most certainly does. It's an Afrikaans word, which is derived from 17th century Dutch as spoken when Dutch settlers came here. It had never occured to me that I didn't know an English word for them though.
