For people who use Callsheet with VoiceOver: does search currently work for you? If not, why not?

Further, I’ve been considering (for VO only) changing it such that search results aren’t shown until you commit/finish a search query. Does that sound better or worse?

If you’re not an active/regular VoiceOver user, I’d prefer not to hear your theories, please. 😇

@caseyliss It's ok, because then you can type and then just like move a finger down the results to see what results are there immediately.

@caseyliss Let me download it again, thank you stupid "remove apps automatically from this iphone" and give it a spin. Haven't used it lately, since the only tv I've been able to watch is sesami street and Bluey. Having a kid is so fun.

@caseyliss Ok, right out of the gate, if you swipe, finding the search bar and activating it is buggy. It needs to be visible on the screen to reliably activate. I found it easily and was able to activate it with explore by touch very easily. Other than that, no issues here. I personally like the search as you type, since it doesn't automatically speak or steels focus, but the option is there for those that want it.

@caseyliss Works fine here. In general, it’s a bad idea to change behavior when VO is on. As a low vision person, I’d be bothered if I could see that results have populated but I couldn’t focus them.

the magnifying glass icon should be hidden though.

@pesh so in the alternative universe, for VO, nothing on the screen would move until you commit your search. _Then_ search results would show. (In contrast to the moment you type a letter).

You’re saying the magnifying glass needs to be hidden from VO?

@caseyliss It’s nice to be able to type a couple letters, check the first result or two, then type more letters if that wasn’t enough. That goes for VO users and non-VO users.
also a lot of VO users use it part of the time. Having a consistent experience whether or not VO is on is easier to use.
If I understand correctly, the magnifying glass is an icon associated with a larger control that has a label. In those cases, icons should usually be hidden.

@caseyliss I probably don’t watch enough TVs and movie to take advantage of your app, but I’ll boost it to all my blind friends on here.

@caseyliss Yes, search works great. I use it all the time, I wouldn’t be opposed to it not showing it till it completes, but I would have to to look at it to see, but it seems like it would be OK. That way you wouldn’t accidentally poke something as results came along that you didn’t mean to if people do that, I don’t usually, but you never know.
