I don't think we talk about this enough: Almost the entire digital economy is business models in opposition to what we want & are sold.
My go-to example is the dating app: They have no interest in you finding someone, because then you won't need the app anymore. Giving you good matches is also against their interests; the more you have to search, the more ads they can show you & the longer you pay the subscription.
Well, it's all like that. The platforms are against you.
