Got disappointing news today. I thought that my right hearing aid had an issue because it was sounding a bit muffled. According to the specialist's tests, nothing's wrong which most likely means that my hearing has gotten worse in that ear. If the test on the 23rd doesn't reflect that, though, then I'll push for him to just replace the mic and receiver anyway. They're still under warranty. If it has gotten worse, though, then that means I'll need more occlusion to take the muffling away, which means a bigger eartip which I'm most definitely not excited about. The right one is already bigger than the left and the next size up for these tips is pretty uncomfortable and game me too much occlusion when I tried that...Apparently three years ago now. So if that's what I end up needing, then much discomfort is in my not too distant future!
