Oct 2, 2026, 10:56 AMis it just me or is the stream 1.7 software much slower than the older version. Also, it loses its place in files a lot. Seems much like a down grade to me. wonder if I can go back.

BruceBruce@allovertheplace.caOct 2, 2026, 11:03 AM@bmoore123 You can go back, and the speed thing is a known issue and is actively being worked on. As for losing your place in files, you'll have to call HW about that one.

@Bruce well, 1.6 did not do this. I am going to go back.

@bmoore123 officially you cannot, unofficially you can, but officially, supported rollbacks, aren't a thing. You need to have kept the previous firmware file to do it, and the first thing support'll ask is are you up to date, and it'll keep asking you to update unless you put it in airplane mode or turn off automatic check for updates. @Bruce

@bmoore123 you can't officially go back as that's not supported.

@munchkinbear @bmoore123 Sure you can. You can download the older firmware files from the Humanware Support site, pop them on to your memory card, restart the stream, and it’ll offer to install that software. I did that last week, and might do it again, because 1.7 seems to go screwy with some text files.
