oh I thought they moved out. the elevator people who tell me I don't pray enough or I would have eye sight if I only did my faith correctly I asked them the same thing I have asked lots of people who went down this road. what if it is part of God's plan that I be blind. isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume that giving me eye sight that I never had is the correct plan? I honestly would love to know the answer to that question from a christian perspective. Like if there really is a "perfect plan" then maybe being blind is part of it and god didn't screw up and have to fix it. Not even trying to be a jerk, it just doesn't make sense to me.

welcome to a night with not nearly enough sleep. that is my own fault. Also, today would have been my mom's 80th birthday. This is the first one and it feels a bit weird not to call her. don't think there is an app that can do that yet, call dead people.

well, this will be a fun day. unlike a lot of people, I love politics so will spend tonight getting results and commentary from multiple sources from both sides and likely stay up until most of the results are in. This election isn't even in my country although it does impact us but I love this stuff in all its forms.

I am sure there are radio drama collectors on here. at one point in the late 80s, I heard I think a BBC dramatization of the Jack Higgins book A prayer for the dying. It was very well done. I have looked for it for years but never had any luck. anyone know anything?

well, still don't feel great but made it through the interview and stuff for new dog. average walking pace is still 4 miles an hour or so and we got to work with Farley a bit. she thinks he can still work but I'm not so sure. I take him places but don't really trust him. Only bring him because he really wants to go and I don't mind using my cane anyway.

okay, I want to show what a headset mic sounds like. it would seem that windows 11 does not come with something by default to make a quick and dirty recording with no filtering preferred. I could record zoom or something but that does a lot of processing so no one will know what the mic sounds like.

okay, struggling to get my but out of here to work. must take the dog out first but then I want to come back in and sleep. Oh well, things to do.

well, at least I got prime day deals on something. Stuff for the homeless shelter. 200 pairs of crew socks and 80 pairs of gloves. All for just over a hundred bucks.

wow, just tried looking at facebook market place for the first time. what a mess! Was going to look for a house cleaner. I guess not there. there is no search and at least in the app, it is a disaster! not sure about the web site version but the app version is unusable.

now I am getting ads for credit cards with good deals on gas. Guess the AI isn't so smart. I think I have purchased gas maybe 5 times in my life when I was with people or whatever but this is not a feature that is going to capture my attention since I don't have a car and couldn't drive one if I did.

is it just me or is the stream 1.7 software much slower than the older version. Also, it loses its place in files a lot. Seems much like a down grade to me. wonder if I can go back.

oh shit, almost forgot to pay rent. Okay, still have time to make the receipt show up as the first. only have to fight with the stupid portal for a couple of minutes to make it work.

I think this thing is broke! And because I bought it from Canada, it’s not very easy to return. Is there some kind of hard reset magic?

okay, got that sorted out. took 9 days but at least they came up with it

any Canadians ever done a research interview with a company called Bher research? Did one but now they have gone silent when it comes to compensation. It has only been 8 days I guess but sending a gift card is not that hard to do.

well, mostly worked but the version of eloquence I had which worked on Android 13 no longer works it would seem. Limited to google TTS now. Oh well.

okay, finally getting the android 16 upgrade for my baby phone. let's see what happens.

alright, no more vacation for me. time to login to work and try and catch up on email.

alright, how strange, it is not broken but I can not use f11 as my key to toggle between the remote and local computer. It used to work and I can set it in the input gestures dialogue but it doesn't work.

oh how strange. not sure if the beta broke it but I can not remote control another computer with NVDA now. it says it connects to the server fine but not working. Must sort this out since I have a computer in my livingroom with no keyboard or anything. just power and a network cable. I will try another server and see if that is the issue but this has never happened before.
