I really need a small and hackable Scheme implementation in my life right now. Skint ensloppified and Chibi too big, I need something else. Preferably LLM-resistant.
And no, I am not smart enough to write my own Scheme from scratch.

Ah shit, Alex Shinn uses Claude and Gemini. I mean, I knew he’s okay with LLMs, but I expected him to be cooler than using them routinely.
Maybe I should just chill and use Chibi & Skint despite the slop. These are valuable implementations and they are worth helping with.
Or fork TinyScheme and make it R7RS 🤪
@aartaka skint ensloppified?
@zardoz I’m over-reacting slightly, and it’s too early to tell, but Claude code is probably in there somewhere by now.
@aartaka i thought babashka would be against it because i remember hearing something to that effect ++ maybe rich's opinion on the matter would affect that. insufferable
@zardoz so I thought. Sigh.
@aartaka Have you considered having ed(1) write a Scheme for you?
@dabeaz you cannot imagine how close I am to that.
@brettm oh, interesting, it’s not on the Lisp Against the (LL)Machine list, I should check it out!
@brettm oh, no commits for 3 years…
@ekaitz_zarraga @janneke oh, that’s reassuring! Do you have an official AI policy? I want to link Mes at https://aartaka.me/lisp-against-the-machine.html!
But yeah, I’m already forking TinyScheme ahah.
@ekaitz_zarraga do you mind if I link to this toot on Lisp Against the (LL)Machine?
@brettm it does, I know—both it and Guile! But it’s quite large and heavy. I need something smaller, just as a toy.
