    For my partner, hero might be nice sometimes if I'm honest. I like the idea of being there for her when she needs me.

    Change. A transformation, growth, or decay. To become something and grow into it.

    Tree. Trees are life giving. They silently grow and give the air we need. They provide food and shelter to other beings. Good community partners with fungi. And they adapt by growing leaves where they have sun and help spread water to the roots. Beautiful, centering, and grounding.

    Grow. To accumulate on a former state. Seeking knowledge in breadth or depth. Getting stronger or bigger. Aspirationally, being better than before.

    Ages. Gives a sense of time beyond the time of a human lifespan. In this life and after. How many generations can my kindness, service, and mentorship shape the future.

    Not hurt anyone. Try not to inflict pain on animals, plants, insects, fungi, the planet. Tread softly.

    It took effort to stay with it but easier as I started writing.
