I read recently that some of these same antivaxxers are now choosing not to vaccinate their dogs. 😡😡😡
@firefly I have actually been thinking about my career and where my future is going. My two main students are both in high school now and I am strongly considering changing careers once they both graduate. One of the students in particular needs me to stay until they are done and there is a lot of reasons for this and I don't feel like I can just walk away but once that student graduates, there's literally nothing keeping me in this job except money and I'm having to think about how much my life is worth because I feel like I am taking my life in my hands every day I go to school between the viruses and the active shooters and it's really sad because I've been a dedicated and devoted teacher for so many years now and I may have to stop doing it because I need to protect myself.
@pawpower Teachers are true blessings, but it is not worth your health…your life. There will be other ways for you to educate and give back. I do understand your devotion to your current students though. I have no doubt you are gifted and your students adore you.
