@FediTips if I mute a hashtag as a warning, I will still see those posts, but with a cw over them, correct? Or is the mechanism more subtle?

For example, I'm following @auschwitzmuseum, and in some states of mind I shouldn't see the pictures they post, but I do think it's important to boost their posts regularly. I'm hoping mute is perfect for that...
