Ignorance and bad logic are an excellent way to troll me, I guess. But since not everybody got it, I'll rip apart this intolerant moronic opinion one more time.

"Keep porn on a porn instance" has the exact same structure as "Keep bigotry on a bigotry instance" or cats, or football or whatever. "Keep <topic> on a <topic> instance" begs the questions: why? how?

If you agree with the statement for one topic, and not the other. You must think one is objectively more harmful than the other. I'll say for the record bigotry is more harmful than porn.

Filtering out bigotry is harder than filtering out porn in here right now, because, guess what, pornographers have higher ethical standards than bigots so they tag and cw the porn typically.

Why is there porn on fedi? The fact that the internet is made of porn and cats should give you a clue. Fedi is just like the rest of the internet in this respect.

People have different tastes, many like porn. Deal with it or go away.

Mojeek is everything I liked about google 20 years ago.

New default search engine. If you never hear me post about it again, it is as awesome as I hope it is and you should switch too.

Thyme flower

Even if they're only a few millimeters in size, they're one of the most beautiful flowers in the garden today.

There's not much to see at first sight, but hunched over the flowers, zooming into the minute details, there's an endless moment of being pulled into another reality. The phone camera in a shaky hand doesn't give them the respect they deserve, so please use your imagination also🙇‍♀️

Is there an edible mushroom that is able to grow on conifers?

Context:

In agroforestry systems we often intervene to reduce growth of less helpful trees in the system. I prefer to do this with as little harm (compaction, noise, felling damage) as possible. Some saprophytic mushrooms like leatiporus, pleurotus are really good at this, while producing food from low edibility rated trees like Robinia along the way.

Boosts welcome 🙏

I've saved up a little and I can finally replace my work vehicle.

Looking for:
> 400km range
6-7 seats
2m long cargo area (ok to remove seats for that)
full electric
AWD

All fine, found multiple options, BUT

I also don't want the 'DIE PEASANT' look at the front end. Is better pedestrian visibility than an Abrams tank too much to ask?

Can't find _any_ options 🤦‍♀️ I *hate* the current car design trend.

Is it possible to follow a thread here?

Let's say someone asks a question and I want notifications for the answers coming in, but I am not invited to join the conversation. How do I get notified?

@FediTips

We value some cats much more than some children, apparently.

Before I take seriously any dreams you may have about terraforming Mars, buy a few acres of the worst farmland in your area, and build a no input farm on it that feeds your family year-round.

If you can't even do that, no mention of living on Mars please.

Spilled some seeds one day I guess 😍
#bloomscrolling

Yesterday 100 before brushing teeth without breaking a sweat, just a little sting in the shoulder.

With the speed target reached, I started working on my form more seriously today. Started the day with 25 slow and deep. Would be cool to be able to do 100 slow with elevation at the end of the year.

In other good news, I'm sleeping better if I do pushups before going to bed, and I can tell you that's big for an insomniac 🎊

That went better than I thought... 🤯 Now to get the high speed camera footage and be put in my place.

Probably 100 "zero"'s (as @PublicWolf calls them) but with the stopwatch operation delay, I'm pretty sure this was within one minute. Next I should work on form then.

I'm a little bit amped, and am probably going to brag about this more. Mute the tag if you want to avoid seeing that ;)

#100pushUps

"Goals

6250/36500 pushups in a year
✓ 100/100 pushups in 1 minute"

Was publicnote.com / Pushups (no longer available)

I will edit this post a lot, hopefully, so beware of the notifications if you boost this.

Is #capitalism only a system that cultivates suffering to produce wealth, or is it potentially more than that?

https://tenforward.social/@nonehitwonder/113483836864019893

Another beautiful and fascinating friend decided they had enough and ended themselves.

I knew they had some trouble, but we weren't that close that it wouldn't be awkward to immediately call them. Give them some space, send an invitation for something light when they have a bit of headspace... that's what this old fool was thinking.

Note to self: hugs and cups of tea save lives. You can hardly share too many of them.

Suicide is is terrible, but nobody's fault.

@FediTips if I mute a hashtag as a warning, I will still see those posts, but with a cw over them, correct? Or is the mechanism more subtle?

For example, I'm following @auschwitzmuseum, and in some states of mind I shouldn't see the pictures they post, but I do think it's important to boost their posts regularly. I'm hoping mute is perfect for that...

Fund raiser for a project in Uganda by my friends @ehsenvironmentalclub1 Give them a follow if you can and maybe some #fediTips, they're new here.

Please check it out and let me know your first impression and how we can do better.

And If you'd be able to make a small donation, that would be extra awesome of course.

Early next year I hope to help give them a bit of a bigger boost so all help preparing is much appreciated.

So it must be obviously clear that as we let this happen, we might see the occasional class action, or even a CEO shooting, but that changes nothing significant.

We will definitely see:

- unaffordable essential healthcare,
- unaffordable housing,
- unaffordable necessary foods, and
- unaffordable legal council.

Until we fix this problem at the root.

3/3

Now we can investigate other things where we think ethics should win.

Affordable housing maybe? Food, or at least necessary foods? Legal council anyone?

The pattern is clear in my opinion.

Don't leave human rights to capitalism.

Now please check again the campaign promises of the #populist #fascist parties that are doing so well these days. Don't they all clearly campaign that we shouldn't be paying for the human rights of others?

What's the alternative? #Capitalism, it boils down to.

2/3

"Is curing patients a sustainable business model?"

https://mstdn.social/@knittingknots2/113673927771901668

No, obviously not.

The better question is: "Should health care be left to capitalism?"

Capitalism is driven by profit over ethics. So the answer is again: no obviously not.

Any area where ethics should supersede profits, should not be run by capitalism... obviously.

Now keep that in mind next time you get to vote please. If you're still that lucky.

Thanks @Nonilex for allowing me to get through the debate without having to have my senses abused by #Trump. I will sleep better because of your hard work 🙏🙏🙏
