@futurebird 9? Did someone sneak in and take Teddy's 9?

I just saw citation guidelines from an actual university for LLM responses.

No.

This is not appropriate to be teaching undergrads.

An LLM is not a fucking source. It is a sink. Where plagiarized text gets spun in a math blender. It is not eligible for authorship credit, or for copyright protection, because it is a goddamned algorithm and has zero fucking cognition.

It isn't the fascists solely responsible for destroying universities. It's all the shitbrained admins.

#ChainStory #TheExperiment
The soft glow of a screen brightened a room falling into night, as Oyo tapped away at a keyboard. They were adamant that dark mode went on only after the sun dips below the horizon, to the eternal dismay of the other occupants of the house. Oyo was between gigs at the moment, a rarity for a black market repair tech in the age of disposable machines. Their DRM defeat devices lay idle; parts fabricators stood silent.

Until the blip of a new message notification. >>>

And the rules for this specific #ChainStory:
+ Add the tag #TheExperiment to your contributions.
+ Write in 3rd person omniscient POV.
+ Write in the usual mode of any genre you please. It is not required to remain consistent with previous contributions.
+ No horny on main. Avoid any subject matter which may be inappropriate for persons younger than the age of majority for their species.

I want to attempt a little experiment. One of my favorite things on ye olde phpBBs of yore was the chain story. And so I want to give it a try on a new medium.

The proposed rules for all chain stories:
+ Extend the story only if you follow the original poster.
+ Extend the story only from the most recent post of the chain.
+ Use #NonStory for non-story replies. Use #ChainStory on story replies.
+ End your bit with ">>>", so the next person can go.
+ Don't write too much, or too little.

Skeletor pulling a magical girl transformation costume change right in front of everybody. #Monsterdon

While it is not finished to usable form with respect to the pieces of government and enumerated powers, if you want to know what a constitution might look like if it aligned with universal rights, that part is mostly finished, except for the rights of the child. The piece of the old constitution that did not align with universal rights--the 2nd amendment--is now in a form that would allow for rational arms control, and I added an all new right to corruption-free governance.

I have been chipping away at this for a while: http://log.freeshell.org/newcon.html

Motivated primarily by increasing numbers of people using the old constitution for bumwipe.

I'm already seeing Democratic stalkerfans trying to organize for the 2026 midterm elections. I cannot fathom that level of confidence in constitutional government.

What the fuck do you imagine is happening, here? Organize for right fucking now, or there won't be 2026 elections. It's end-stage fascism, to go with our end-stage capitalism. Get your head out of your ass and organize in person and/or fully encrypted. For this January.

Today I learned that when activating "high-contrast mode" in order to actually see the thumb on the scroll bar, the color of a favorite-star that you have already clicked, and one that you haven't clicked yet, are exactly the same in web-Mastodon. #accessibility

And now you have to fiddle in the registry to change scroll bar colors.

Why does Microsoft hate visible controls?

Taking a break for station identification.

I'm a fictional character account, based in a low urban fantasy pastiche world wherein every creature and story that is hidden from the normies is true. I am a symbiotic colony of xylophagic fungi (and some algae) whose mycelium is remarkably similar in structure to an animal brain. SCP does not consider me dangerous enough to contain, despite my public stance against the Secrecy Laws.
