drieddried@sonomu.clubOct 18, 2026, 12:24 AM@t36s my email provider has caldav support so I just use native apps with that as the backbend. It's straightforward and works well enough. I can even accept and send invites and subscribe to calendars.
Marc Hasselbalchfuncgen@mastodon.socialOct 18, 2026, 4:51 AM@t36s I feel you. I still keep my Google cal, tried to change over to Proton when I move all I could to my Proton email, but didn't gel with it a year ago, but I have been told it has gotten better - and that I should try again. Make of that what you will.
Allan Haverholmhaverholm@radikal.socialOct 18, 2026, 6:22 AM@t36s I set up Baikal https://sabre.io/baikal/ on a subdomain of my web host.
It's very simple, barely needs maintaining and it just chugs away keeping time (and contacts). I keep it synced with Thunderbird on desktop, and via Davx5 on Android. I'm sure there are iOS apps or features to the same effect.
