Sunday was a good day. Did some domestic stuff, made bread, cooked roast dinner. Monday was a good day. Walked to Tesco with a spring in my step, pottered about, read a lot, wrote a little, cooked dinner. Today started well. U3A writers' group liked my story. Went to eye hosp with wife in case she needed driving home. She's fine. But I crashed when we got home. I haven't cooked. I have barely got off the sofa for 3 hours. Is it bedtime yet? #PKD #CKD
Served with Feta cheese and pickles. Yum.
Quite a decent rise and crumb for 100% wholemeal sourdough. Most of the work done yesterday then left to rise overnight in the fridge. BTW I made the bread board nearly 50 years ago. Still in daily use.

Hello Masto-techies, I need phone advice. My Oppo A53 had been ok for 5 years or so but it's dying. Poor battery life and random crashes. I'd prefer a 'non Google' OS. In the past I've used Lineage but what's the current favourite? Also which phones are easy to root and install an OS on? Pixels seem to be highly recommended which is ironic. To everyone who suggested solutions to my leg cramps. Yesterday I ate crisps (salt) drank tonic (quinine), drank more generally. Oh and had a Chinese takeaway for dinner (more salt). And no cramp until 7.00 when it was time to get up anyway. More of the same today including left over Chinese for lunch and a banana (potassium). Let's see how it goes... Thanks everyone.

The 'fix' is to unpair the aids via Android Bluetooth and reconnect via the app, which I mentioned previously doesn't work. 2 audiologists and the Hearing Advice service have tried and failed. Dana Logic has no tech support and doesn't answer emails. Forums suggest it's broken. Does anyone have it working? #Hearing #HearingAids
UK hard-of-hearing people, can you help? I have Dana Logic Ambio hearing aids with the pretty awful Be More Android app. The instructions say you should not use the Android Bluetooth pairing system but the one provided by the app, but it won't work on my phone. Normal Bluetooth doors with one exception, direct audio streaming that should allow the aids to work as media headphones (more...)

It happened again. Walking down from Castell Dinas Brân I got chatting to a couple going up. They asked if I knew the other way down, which I do because I used to live in Llangollen. Then we moved to discussing where we live now, Bedfordshire, and that prompted a remark about the number of foreigners there. Just because I'm old, bald and white people seem to assume I'm some kind of fascist. Some old people are lefty liberals you know.
I think I've done it but my Nextcloud server is going VERY sl...ow. It lives in my garden shed so I suspect it's overheating 🫡
