Harvested my garlic today before it rained. Now my garage will be vampire-free for the next month #gardening

Happy Carb Day to all who celebrate 🏁🏁 #indy500 #HoosierMast

My goodness, just bundled up to walk the dog, and was surprised to see the full moon! It was so bright🌕

Ok! In scanning for Christmas ideas, I found a 5th Bobiverse book I missed when it came out, plus a complication of short stories by George Mahood (who added me in the acknowledgements for being one of his 50-odd SubStack followers. I devoured both over the break, but now it seems like every where I look (including non-algorithm sources like Mastodon and my local paper) I am seeing recommendations for "Automatic Noodles." I'll give it a try. Did you read it? Enjoy it? #Bookstodon

Well cool! Pretty cold standing outside with my phone, but not bad for central Indiana!

And now in Kokomo, IN (not lake effect!) ❄️

My father-in-law was thrilled last fall when I took an interest in ukulele he made from a kit in 2020 (I am trying to learn to play on YouTube) So he decided that I needed my own project, and bought me one for Christmas. Luckily he had (or made again for me) all the jigs. We are about halfway through. This week's homework was to sand the glued top and back to be flushed with the sides. In September we'll glue the fretboard to the neck and try to get the neck properly attached to the body.

My theory was I would stay in bed until it hit 20 degrees, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Let's go walk the dog

My bathroom window, an amateur stained glass project I did in 2013. Copper foil / solder technique used (not lead came) #StainedGlass #FensterFriday #FensterFreitag

It's ok to eat chestnuts that have been in the freezer for 3 (maybe 5?) years right? I'm not baking cookies (my father passed away over the summer and he was the only one who could tolerate my cookies) and I wanted the house to smell more Christmas-y. Kid and I roasted and ate them up. Probably should have googled "how long can raw chestnuts keep in the freezer first?"! 😂

How about let's try a pinned intro post? Here are Hashtags I tend to search for:
