#AlpineLinux 3.21.0 is out!

https://alpinelinux.org/posts/Alpine-3.21.0-released.html

I just pushed linux-lts 6.12 to #AlpineLinux edge and this will be the kernel for Alpine 3.21.

The #alpinelinux 3.20 packages are now built and uploaded for all the architectures except for riscv64, which has 115 packages left to build.

This means you can now start use and test the v3.20 repos.

Our aarch64 build monster with 256G ram ran out of memory and OOM killed g++ while building clang18.

Don't underestimate the power of bloat

And thank you very much for your patience. You have no idea how much it means ❤️

All #alpinelinux repositories should be fixed and fully operational again now.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

A bug in recent apk-tools (2.14.2) broke the APKINDEX. An emergency fix was pushed in apk-tools-2.14.3, but some manual work needs to be done to get this fix out. As for now, edge, v3,19, v3.18 and v3.17 repositories are broken. We are working on it

If you are an Alpine Linux package maintainer, can you please verify that your py3-* packages builds with current git master?

For example:

for i in $(grep Natanael py3-*/APKBUILD | cut -d/ -f1); do (cd $i && abuild -rk) || break; done

linux 6.6 kernels was just pushed to alpine edge. This will be the kernels for #alpinelinux 3.19

The rpi kernels was simplified so you may want verify your config.txt if you update your

And there will be support for #RaspberryPi 5
